We have partnered with National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) and Prometric Testing Services to offer the most effective training classes in the field of Food Safety. Anyone working in the food industry understands the importance of proper food handling, food safety and sanitation, yet foodborne illness continues to prevale. By joining forces with NEHA and Prometric, DiStasi Food Safe Services is positioned to provide reliable and effective training for anyone who handles food in their occupation.

National Environmental Health Association (NEHA)

NEHA has educated environmental health professionals since 1937. For decades, food safety professionals have turned to NEHA for credentials and continuing education. Experienced in food safety and effective instructional learning modules, NEHA is respected nationwide by food safety regulators and food safety professionals.

Prometric Testing Services

Prometric is an industry leader in the field of credentialing, testing and assessments having over more than four decades in testing services.  Prometric's program has always adhered to standards set out by the Conference for Food Protection and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Compliance with these standards helps to protect the content of the exams and creates a fair and meaningful test experience for all candidates.

ServSafe Training

ServSafe training is available at an additional charge. Please notify us if you prefer ServSafe certification.

Are you compliant?

As of January 1, 2012, anyone working in a food service establishment is required to have certification as a food handler. Also, at least one person at the facility must have certification as a food safety manager. We offer training classes for both the Food Handler and the Food Safety Manager. Our training center allows students to learn in an interactive setting and with hands on learning.

Food Handler Certificate Program

The Food Handler Certificate Program is designed for line staff and non-management personnel in retail food operations. The ANSI accredited course provides essential knowledge of fundamental food safety practices needed to work safely in a food service operation. The textbook is concise, brightly-illustrated, and written for ease of comprehension. The course is 2 1/2 hours long and includes a textbook, exam, and certification. Certification is only received upon passing the exam with 70% or higher. Available in English and Spanish.

 

Certified Professional Food Manager
Created by food safety experts and based on the 2009 FDA Food Code, this well-written textbook successfully prepares candidates to pass any of the CFP-ANSI accredited food safety manager exams. The easily understood material is ideal for teaching managers what they need to know to become certified and helps them retain information to maintain a high level of proficiency on the job. Course is 8 hours long and includes a textbook, exam and certification upon passing the exam. Certification is mailed from Prometric Testing Services. Available in English and Spanish.
